One of our favourite bottlings in this auction however is the rarely seen Benromach 1949 55 Year Old by Gordon & MacPhail. Stunningly presented and an incredible dram with an outturn of only 83 bottles, this is a rare chance to get this great whisky on the open market.

Joining these great bottlings at the top of the sale are a Macallan 30 year old, the Macallan 25 year old crystal decanter from the late 1980s, a Caol Ila Manager’s Dram, a Glendronach 1968 distillery re-opening and one of the beautiful 1968 25 year olds for the US. We have a Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch 1 and a Balvenie Rose 1st Edition. One of the exceptionally scarce Cardhu 1973 Rare Malts at 60.5% makes a rare appearance along with the equally hard to obtain Johnnie Walker Director’s Blends from 2011. A Glenfiddich 1968 Vintage Reserve bottled number 1, a Macallan 1963 one of the earliest official vintages pre-dating the 18 year old series and a beautiful Highland Park 1955 bottled by G&M under their CASK label at 52.8% in the 1980s.

There is no shortage a of incredible drinking whiskies and hard to find bottlings in this sale. We have two G&M Private Collection Caol Ilas with the 1965 and 1969 both appearing, the resurgence of the Hanyu Wave and Big Butt and the Remy Martin 250th Anniversary again. A Highland Park 1977 Scottish Field Merchants single cask and the official Highland Park 40 year old, along with an old 1962 Highland Park bottled at 20 years old by Blackadder. There are official vintage Glenfiddichs from 1967, 1975 and 1974, a beautifully sherried 1982 Port Ellen from Douglas Laing and a rarely seen 1977 Brora form Douglas Laing as well.

One of the real highlights of this auction is the appearance of a large range of Signatory’s Silent Stills series with the two highlights undoubtedly being the Glenlochy 1965 and the Glenugie 1966. Also from Signatory is a rare 20 year old Caperdonich bottled in the early 1990s for Air UK. On top of all this you’ll find many many great bottles that are simply too numerous to list here, everything from vintage Madeira and Port to a beautiful old bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Year Old from the 1930s.

So have a look through, get stuck in and happy bidding.
